We are small on purpose. A lean team means no layers of hand-offs between you and the work that matters, and no waiting your turn to touch something interesting. The other side of small is range: in a single quarter you might model production data for an oil and gas client, rebuild a manufacturer's plant dashboards, and stand up a governed semantic model for a financial services team. Few large employers can offer that spread of problems this early in a career.
What You Would Work On
Our work lives on the Microsoft data stack: Power BI for the reporting layer, Microsoft Fabric for the platform beneath it, and the engineering, modeling, and governance that make the numbers trustworthy. You would design semantic models, write DAX that holds up under real use, build pipelines, and turn messy source data into dashboards a CFO believes. Because our clients span oil and gas, energy and utilities, manufacturing, healthcare, financial services, and food and beverage, no two engagements look quite alike.
Who Does Well Here
The people who thrive at Allston Yale are curious, self-directed, and as comfortable talking to a client as writing a measure. You do not need a decade of experience or a particular degree. You do need to care about getting the answer right, to enjoy untangling the problem nobody else wants to touch, and to want to grow quickly rather than coast. How We Work
We are based in Texas and work with clients across the USA, and the team works flexibly rather than clocking into an office for its own sake. Projects are staffed small, so you own real deliverables early and carry them through to a client who puts them to use. You will have senior people to learn from, a direct view of how a consulting engagement runs, and room to shape where your career goes, toward deep technical craft, client leadership, or both.
