Answers Your EHR Reports Can't Give You

Allston Yale builds healthcare analytics for mid-market hospitals, clinics, and health systems in Texas and across the USA. We help lean IT and analytics teams turn the data they already collect into answers leadership and regulators can rely on.

01

The Data Exists, the Answers Do Not

Most healthcare organizations are not short on data. It is trapped in the EHR, scattered across claims files and spreadsheets, and slow to turn into a straight answer. We connect those sources so the questions that matter do not take a week to answer.

02

What Healthcare Analytics Covers

Data analytics in the healthcare industry spans more than one team. Clinical analytics tracks quality, outcomes, and safety; operational analytics watches throughput, staffing, and capacity; and revenue cycle analytics follows the money from claim to payment.

Population health analytics ties it together, looking across patients to spot risk and gaps in care before they become costs. We build for whichever of these is hurting most, then connect them so one view does not contradict the next.

03

Built for Lean Healthcare IT Teams

Mid-market providers rarely have a large analytics department, yet they answer to the same regulators and boards as the big systems. We build reporting a small team can actually maintain, so compliance and leadership reporting do not rest on one overworked person.

04

From EHR and Claims Data to Dashboards People Trust

Your data starts in systems like Epic, Cerner, Meditech, or athenahealth, plus claims feeds and the inevitable spreadsheets. We pull it together, reconcile it, and turn it into a Power BI healthcare dashboard your teams open instead of waiting on a report request.

The point is one trusted source. When the quality team, the CFO, and the floor are looking at numbers that agree, the meeting moves on to what to do about them rather than whose figure is right.

05

Built on Power BI and Microsoft Fabric

We build healthcare analytics on Microsoft Power BI for the reporting layer and Microsoft Fabric for the data platform beneath it. Power BI for healthcare gives clinicians and managers familiar dashboards; Fabric handles the volume and variety of clinical and claims data.

For the reporting craft see our Power BI consultant page, and for the platform itself see our Microsoft Fabric consulting page. Most healthcare teams start with Power BI done well and grow into Fabric as their data outgrows it.

06

Security and Compliance Come First

Healthcare data carries rules the average dashboard never has to think about. We design with HIPAA in mind from the start, controlling who can see protected health information through row-level security and governed access rather than bolting it on later.

What working with Us Looks like

Our healthcare analytics services are meant to make the data quietly dependable, so your teams spend less time assembling reports and more time acting on them. The aim is fewer fire drills at month-end and quarter-end, not a flashier dashboard.

Common Questions

Can you work with our EHR data?

Yes. We regularly pull from the major EHRs and claims systems, whether through their reporting databases, extracts, or interfaces. We do not replace your EHR; we make the data it holds usable alongside everything else you run.

How do you handle HIPAA and PHI?

Carefully and from day one. Access is governed down to the row, protected health information is restricted to those who need it, and we document how data flows so an audit is a non-event. Compliance shapes the design rather than following it.

Do we need Fabric, or is Power BI enough?

Often Power BI is enough to start. If your data is manageable, a well-built Power BI model and dashboards will carry you a long way. We recommend Fabric only when data volume, real-time needs, or many sources genuinely call for it.

How long until we see something useful?

A first dashboard on a priority area, throughput, quality, or revenue cycle, usually lands in weeks. We deliver one useful view early rather than waiting to boil the ocean, then expand from there as the foundation proves itself.

Talk to Us About Your Data

If your teams are still pulling healthcare reports by hand, or leadership keeps asking questions the EHR cannot answer, a short conversation will show what is possible. Book a time and we will walk through your data and where to start.
